About the Item

A Monk is an original charcoal drawing on paper, realized by Joseph Bernard in early 20th century. Representing a young monk of profile with a chubby face with the typical rapid line of a sketch, this modern artwork has a blue ink stamp on the lower margin: " Atelier J. Bernard". In excellent conditions, except for a little restoration of a rip of the paper visible on the back and on the higher margin. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
